Checked out the latest forecast models This Afternoon and they continue to indicate that there could be some thunderstorms and possibly some severe weather from late tuesday into wednesday over parts of Minnesota, the Dakotas, Nebraska, Iowa, and down south thru the central/southern plains. The NAM model by far has the most instability developing with lifted indices falling down toward minus 3 to minus 5 degrees Tuesday Night over parts of Westcentral and Southern Minnesota. A strong cold front will drop south/east out of the northern rockies over the next 2-3 days and this front looks to pass thru Minnesota from Tuesday Night thru Wednesday. The speed of this front is still somewhat uncertain at this time, so this forecast could change. Still not expecting a tornado outbreak at this point, but more of a wind/hail threat the way it looks right now.
